What is a Palindrome?

A palindrome is a word, sentence or number that reads the same forward or backward. 

For example the words: 

1. dad, 
2. kayak, 
3. radar,  
4. deed, and 

the phrases: like - "Too hot to hoot” and "never odd or even".
